Co-founder of Zuhl’s Pursuit and a verteran tri-athlete, Micah Zuhl grew up in St. Joseph, MI. He attended Western Michigan University on a full athletic scholarship to play football. A four-time varsity letter recipient, Micah finished his undergrad degree and then traveled across the country to begin a career in the food industry. In 2007, he moved back to Southwest Michigan.

Currently Micah is a graduate assistant at Western Michigan University teaching health and wellness, and pursuing a master’s degree in exercise science.

In his own words:

My interest in racing began three years ago, and I've performed in races around the country. I've had some success in several races (finishes listed below). I enjoy the sport because it's very demanding and requires an enormous amount of both physical and mental strength.

My ultimate goal is to qualify for Ironman Hawaii, which is the world championship event for the sport of triathlon. This process is accomplished one of two ways: (1) entering into a lottery, and (2) qualifying through high-place finishes in races throughout the United States. I've chosen the path less traveled, which is qualifying. The bar is set high, but the challenge is extremely exciting.

My training schedule will consist of long days of running, biking, and swimming. I've faced both my toughest mental and physical days through this sport, but my struggle still does not compare to what those with cancer face each day. Although, we've set our sights on Hawaii, the real goal is to raise support for Gilda's Club Grand Rapids. This is a truly amazing organization that provides a cancer-support community to thousands of individuals in Southwest Michigan. I am absolutely honored to be in a position to impact Gilda's Club Grand Rapids! I hope that you will join me in my pursuit!
