Zuhls Pursuit began with two former Western Michigan
University student athletes wanting to combine mutual interests
in order to attain the specific goal of helping others.
One individual, Micah Zuhl, is committed to succeed and
overcome physical, mental, emotional adversity in the most
demanding sport in the world. The other, William Miller,
is committed to making Micah's 2008 tri-athlete season a showcase
for raising awareness for Gildas Club Grand Rapids.
They both want to use this opportunity to help more people
living with cancer in Southwest Michigan than any other event
ever has.
The uniqueness of our mission is that we seek to achieve
a national response and donor support to an organization in
Southwest Michigan exclusively. We hope to introduce Gildas
Club Grand Rapids to more donors, companies, higher education
partnerships and more individuals than in any year of its
seven year history.
The steps necessary to reach our goal are simple: Micah Zuhl
is going to participate in the most competitive triathlons
in the United States in an attempt to qualify for the 2008
Hawaiian Ironman World Championship. While Micah concentrates
on training and competing, William Miller will be responsible
for organizing Zuhls Pursuit in its entirety.
We are hopeful that you will be inspired by what we are
doing. We believe that the more people who believe in
what we seek to accomplish, the more smiles we can bring to
those in Southwest Michigan who are living with cancer.
We encourage you to tell everyone you know about Zuhls
Pursuit and ask them to join us in this great adventure! |
